Valley in the Pink for breast cancer
Moonee Valley Cricket Club showed its support for breast cancer awareness and research on the February 23/24 weekend, by donning pink in our senior games.
Our Firsts went all the way in the game at Ormond Park on the Saturday, with the players all wearing pink caps and stick-on tattoos, using pink stumps and keeper Adam Wilson wearing pink gloves and pads.
Our Seconds, playing away at Sunshine United, wore the pink caps and keeper gear, while our Sevenths, at Ormond Park on the hard wicket, used the pink stumps.
Senior coach Vic Hodge is fully behind the awareness campaign, and under Vic's supervision and urging Moonee Valley exceeded its fundraising target of $700.
Well done to Vic and the Valleys!
