Our Club's condolences to the Wright family

Moonee Valley Cricket Club extends its condolences to the members of the Wright family on the passing of William James Wright, 70.

Bill was the father of Fourths stalwart Norm Wright and grandfather to Peter Wright, who played his junior cricket at Moonee Valley and a number of senior games, including the Firsts semi final last season.

He was also the father of Brendan Wright, who has developed the Moonee Valley Cricket Club phone app for us and advised us on the changeover to our new website.

Bill died on Wednesday after a short illness. The funeral service will be held in the Mounting Yard, Flemington Racecourse at 11am on Monday, March 4.

Moonee Valley senior players will wear black armbands in their games this weekend as a mark of respect to the Wright family.
