2021/22 Week 9 - January 22 & 23

We've again had a COVID-impacted selection, and at this stage are struggling to find enough players for our Sixth Eleven.We will endeavour to boost numbers, but the likelihood is that we won't be able to put the Sixth team on the park again this week. In the probable event that we have to forfeit the Sixths, we will let players know.

All other Elevens have been selected. See below for the teams.

Note that the Thirds - Mercantile Saturday game - starts at 11am this week - the early start to assist with the staging of the MCA presentation night on Saturday evening.

The Thirds players need to ensure that they are at the ground - Albert Park - by 10.15am at the latest.

Any players who have not yet purchased a ticket for our Last Man Standing raffle for Sunday week - January 30 - please see Ian Denny or any committee members at the bar asap to buy your ticket. $50 a ticket; two hours of beer/wine/soft drink, plus food - for a chance to win $3000.

We are also making allowance for the people who are playing on Sunday - you will get your complimentary drinks when you come back to Ormond Park after your game.

We have also made contact with Seabrook CC to have our Seconds game played in whites, with a red ball. With the number of players being promoted from lower grades at both clubs, we're finding it hard to beg or borrow colored kits to fit them out. Playing in whites makes sense. If Seabrook agrees we will make a joint application to the VTCA.
