250 games for Valley stalwarts

by

Soon-to-be 250 game players Peter Smith (left) and Michael Cumbo (right), with another 250-gamer, Ben Thomas. Two long-standing Moonee Valley cricketers, Peter "Postcode" Smith and Michael "Mickster" Cumbo, are due to play their 250th games this weekend.
Postcode is planning to reach his milestone in the Sixths game v Reservoir Mayston at home on Saturday.
And the Mickster, who for the past couple of seasons has played his cricket closer to home at Wyndham Vale, is coming back to the Valley for a Sunday game in the Sevenths to record game 250 with us.

Both are Life Members of our club, and will deserve all the accolades for reaching the 250-game milestone.
They will join just 12 other players in Moonee Valley's 50-year history to reach 250 games.
Mickster is a Premiership player, centurion and hat-trick taker - so he's done the lot.
Postcode cruelly missed out on premiership success while recovering from surgeries, but is eighth on our all-time bowling list, now nudging towards 350 wickets.
Postcode has won bowling awards in the Seconds, Thirds, Fifths, Sixths and Sevenths - he'll play anywhere - and has seven times taken five wickets or more in an innings. His best is 6/11.
Michael and Peter - we salute you!
