Senior teams Round 8 - January 15/16

2021/22 Week 8 - January 15 & 16

We have picked our teams as best we can in these COVID-uncertain times, with 10 players at the moment unable to be considered because they've tested positive to the illness or required to isolate as close contacts. This follows on from 17 the previous week.
At this stage we've been able to fill five teams, with the Sixths and Sevenths only having a limited number of available players to choose from. We will endeavour to boost numbers, but the likelihood is that we won't be able to put those teams on the park again this week. We have a couple of provisional selections pending COVID results, and if we have further players forced to pull out we will seek to fill from those squads. In the probable event that we have to forfeit the Sixths and Sevenths, we will let players know.

We have also made a joint application with Gellibrand CC to have our Seconds game played in whites, with a red ball. With the number of players being promoted from lower grades at both clubs, we're finding it hard to beg or borrow colored kits to fit them out. Playing in whites makes sense.

Round 8. One-day Saturday game January 15 v Gellibrand. Note that VTCA matches have reverted to the normal 1pm start. Players need to be at the ground 11.30am. Playing in our colored strip.

Round 8. One-day Saturday game January 15 v Gellibrand. Match starts at 1pm. Players need to be at the ground 11.45am. Wait for advice on whether we're playing in whites or are required to find a colored strip. Also note that some of the exits on the Westgate Freeway are closed due to roadworks. This includes the Williamstown Rd. exits from both sides.
