Sixths captain Paddy Sheldon is a master recruiter.
From what started out as a small group of university student colleagues who came together for some fun cricket  in 2014/15, Paddy has put together a serious unit of talent.
Some of his recruits have starred. Liam Shaw, who played one game in the first year, now stands alone in Moonee Valley history with three consecutive centuries.
In the most recent game, on February 18, 2016/17 recruit Samuel Fontana took 5/21 - to go with  his four half-centuries, including a match-winning 83no the previous round.
Paddy has answered the challenge to recruit more players with an eye to next season, and has brought in four new faces in the last two rounds.
On February 13, Kengo Hirata kept wicket and made 26no, while the three recruits on February 18 - father-and-son duo Stephen and Samuel Philp and Jesse O'Grady, all made solid contributions.
