MOONEE VALLEY CRICKET CLUB ANNUAL

GENERAL MEETING

The Moonee Valley Cricket Club annual general meeting was held electronically on Monday, August 10.
The club recorded a small profit for the 2019/20 year, which was our first season in our new Ormond Park pavilion.
Charlie Walker - returned for his 13th year as president. All committee members up for re-election were returned unopposed - President Charlie Walker (right), Vice President Mark Gauci, Secretary Michael Ozbun, Treasurer Peter Golding, Junior Co-ordinator Peter Pickering and general committee members Daniel Phillips, Channa DeSilva, Brendan Rhodes, Liam Shaw and Allan Cumming.
Dominic Rettino nominated for a position and was elected unopposed.
With vacancies still available at the meeting, nominations were received for Bede Gannon and Mitchell Britton, and they were also elected.
We are looking forward to season 2020/21 under new coach Glen Courts, particularly with our Firsts and Fifths as reigning premiers, but our planning can only be preliminary until there is a clearer picture of recovery from the current wave of coronavirus.
The 2020/21 season marks the 50th anniversary of the Moonee Valley Cricket Club, but celebrations are also up in the air as a result of the pandemic.
