Junior training

We have all have been really pleased with how pre-season training has gone so far. The enthusiasm from parents, players and coaches has been great.

As there are some schools which are on holiday and some which aren’t, we are going to have training for all junior teams again this week.

Ormond Park, Pattison St, Moonee Ponds
U16 : Tuesday 5pm-6pm
U10,U12 and U14: Thursday 4.30pm-5-5.30pm

I am also pleased to announce that Jack Newman, Club First XI captain, will be coaching the the U12s on Thursday nights with Joshua Gorry, and so Anthony “Caf” Cafari moves to the U14s with Steve Esmore. For the first time in many years we now have senior players coaching the juniors at all levels. I am sure this will be just the start of a new era for the juniors and the players are going to see a lot of benefit from this new approach.

As for numbers, we are going really well at all levels but there are still places left if anyone has friends who wish to come along for a game. The first round is one month away.
