Jonty: Get well soon

Our very own Brendan "Jonty" Rhodes has gone into hospital for surgery on his troublesome back, and we wish him all the best.

Jonty's been hampered by his back for some time, and it's a credit to him that he's played as much cricket for Moonee Valley as he has.

And that's despite him being our "northern correspondent", living across the border for much of the past two years in the bustling NSW town of Daysdale.

Jonty will be laid up in Cabrini Hospital for at this stage a couple of weeks, so let's all wish him the best for Christmas and the New Year.

I'm sure we'll get at least one edition of Jonty's Jottings out of him if he's got nothing much to do in his hospital bed.

Get well Jonty from all your mates at Moonee Valley Cricket Club. We won't make you bend down as wicketkeeper when you get out of hospital and get back on the playing field.
