Evan's wedding

Moonee Valley Premiership player Evan Blythe is marrying his lady Michelle van der Merwe this Saturday, and has extended an invitation to Moonee Valley players to attend the wedding ceremony.

It's being held at St John's Uniting Church, Cnr Mt Alexander Rd & Buckley St Essendon at 10.30am.

With the 10.30 start, it shouldn't interfere with anyone's Saturday cricket, so it would be nice for some teammates to attend.

As Evan explains, the preparation for the wedding is the reason he's only been able to play one game so far this season - although he's hopeful of getting another couple of games in before the season's out.

With Michelle in charge at home, hopefully Ev will turn up in whites - rather than grubby grey - for future games!

Congratulations to Evan and Michelle from the players at Moonee Valley Cricket Club, and we expect to have a few people at the Church on Saturday, January 19.
