Calling for a coach for our Milo juniors

by

Moonee Valley Cricket Club is looking for a coach to run our Milo In2Cricket program for the youngsters, leading in to entry level club competition with the Under 10s.

Life Member/Parent John Talone has run the program for the past four or so years while sons Luke and Max have come through, but he's moving on to Under 10s this season as Max graduates.

So we need someone to take up the baton from Odie and help skill up our next generation of Moonee Valley cricketers - typically youngsters aged from 5 to 8.

The sessions run for 1 to 1 1/2 hours once a week during the course of the season, with the normal junior break over the school Christmas holiday period.

John ran his program on Friday evenings. While that is the junior section's preference, there is no requirement for a set time.

Our program could for example be run at the start of or during our own senior training nights on Tuesdays or Thursdays, any other evening or even Saturday or Sunday morning.

If anyone is interested in being in on the ground floor in developing our next crop of Valley players, please give me Club President Charlie Walker a call on 0409 237 543 or drop him an email at charlie.walker@optusnet.com.au

Anyone running the program would need to do a Working With Children check.
