Winter comp kicks off this Saturday

Moonee Valley’s third season in the Mid Year Cricket Association kicks off this Saturday with a game against Balmoral.

It’s an away game, being played at Fairbairn Park No. 4 oval, off Woods St, Ascot Vale. The April 18 match starts at midday, and players should arrive by 11.30am.

There were 17 players available and keen to play, so unfortunately some had to miss out this week.

The team is: Anthony Cafari, Kern Kapoor, Neil King, Gaurav Malhotra, Michael Ozbun (capt), Mahir Rahman, Amandeep Singh, Jatinder Singh, Ben Thomas, Matt Thomas, Nathaniel Wolland. Anyone running late on the day should ring Michael on 0448 548 860.

Captain Michael Ozbun says he will try to get other guys in during the first few games and then pick the settled sides from there. Sorry to those who missed out this week.

“Coming to net sessions and getting me your availability in advance will make a huge difference. Thanks again to those of you who did,” Michael said.
