Watch for the weather - extreme heat

With the scorcher forecast for this weekend, players and families should check the relevant weather line recorded messages for any game changes or cancellations due to the extreme heat rules.

They are:

North West Metro (5ths & 6ths and juniors) is 9539 4844.
VTCA (1sts & 2nds) is 9517 6688.
Mercantile (3rds & 4ths) is 1900 939 238.

We would expect that any decisions on the weather will be posted by 10am on the day - or 3pm on Friday in the case of our juniors.

Captains should know the requirements, but broadly, the cut-off temperature when players must leave the ground is 36 degrees for our juniors, 39 degrees for our NWMCA seniors, 38 degrees for VTCA and 40 degrees for Mercantile.

Players should ensure they have plenty of drinks, and umpires/teams will be instructed to allow extra drinks breaks.
