Two mugs

There were celebrations all around when Tony Gleeson and Clyde D'Cruz came together in the Ormond Park clubrooms on March 11.

Clyde had come off a match-winning 71 not out in the Thirds semi final against Parkville District when we had been gone for all money at 7/68 chasing 183. Not surprisingly, he won Moonee Valley's Man of the Match mug for his efforts.

Tony called in at Ormond Park to collect the Bowler of the Series mug from the Barooga Over 35s tournament in January, that we'd had in safekeeping for him.

Tony, a past Moonee Valley Premiership coach and First Eleven player, had pulled on the whites again for the  Valleys at Barooga and had taken a tournament-high nine wickets to win the trophy.
