This weekend's practice games

This week's (x2) practice matches against East Keilor C.C.
 
As it stands at the moment, East Keilor will try to get a turf wicket up for this weekend, with weather permitting of course.
 
Their curator has been instructed to get one prepared for the Sunday, and they will lay covers down if it rains etc. 
 
Coach Lou Raffaele will be getting a phone call on Friday afternoon with an answer to see if the wicket will be ready for play.
 
With the weather forecasting 2 sunny days ahead, hopefully they will be ok to start work on the wicket.
 
However East Keilor has informed that if it does rain close to the weekend that the game will be called off.
 
So for now, we wait for the weather to be good for us and Lou will have an answer this Friday afternoon.
 
If we don't play the turf game, East Keilor have still shown interest in playing a best X1 on matting at their ground. 
 
Lou informed them that he will have an answer for them when they let him know on the turf wicket outcome first.
 
Regardless of what happens with the turf wicket, MVCC will play 2 games this weekend coming, whether they be against East Keilor or not.
 
These are the options for this coming weekend:
 
OPTION 1...(if turf game on) :
 
(2) games Vs East Keilor .... (1) TURF, (1) MATTING,  side by side at East Keilor's Overland Reserve on Sunday Sept 12th for an 11am start, 35 overs a side.
 
 
 OPTION 2... (if Turf called off) :
 
 Playing (x2) INTRA-CLUB matches on MATTING at Fairbairn Park, Woods St, Ascot Vale on Sunday Sept 12th for an 11am start
 
 
OPTION 3...(if turf called off)
 
ONE team plays against East Keilor on MATTING at East Keilor on Sunday Sept 12th for an 11am start, and the other an intra club game
at Fairbairn Park on Sunday Sept 12th for an 11am start.
