This Sunday's training; and September 12 Bairnsdale practice match

This Sunday, August 23, was listed in the newsletter as an outdoor session.
However, we have been advised that Ormond Park is still not available to us due to football commitments, and so we will run another Sunday session at Footscray Indoor Sports - which has been an excellent venue.
So it's 10-11am at Footscray Action Indoor Sports Centre, at 90 Gordon St. Don't forget - wear a white top or you don't train.

We've had 16 players so far put up their hands for the practice match that has been organised for Bairnsdale on the weekend of September 12 and 13.
We need to get 22 to run the two games - or else coach Lou Raffaele will trim the squad back to 11.
So we need to get half a dozen extra commitments pronto.
Anyone interested in a weekend away for a cricket practice match should ring Lou asap on 0433 854 549. The matches will be played on the Saturday.

Extra women players needed.

We still need half a dozen extra players to ensure that we have a big enough roster to field two women's teams again this season.
About half of our players are partners of Moonee Valley cricketers or mums of Moonee Valley juniors.
Experience is no pre-requisite - most of our players did not come from a cricket background, and they've learned as they went along. 
So - chase up the wives and partners, friends or associates - we need an extra six players.
