Moonee Valley held a special afternoon on Sunday, October 26 to thank our generous sponsors and to give them a chance to see first-hand community cricket at the real grass-roots level.

Our Sixths - a team with a lot of dads who have been induced back to cricket after lengthy layoffs were playing on the Ormond Park synthetic ground, and duly accounted for Sydenham-Hillside.

We had our women's derby on the turf wicket, and really showcased what our cricket is all about.

It was a Twenty20 round, so the action was fast and furious, with our Moonee Valley White team winning after a spirited fight from Moonee Valley Black.

The representatives of the sponsors were impressed with the action, with the size of our crowd watching the games, and with what we as a Moonee Valley Cricket Club have achieved.

Club Committee members, coach Lou Raffaele, First Eleven captain Mark Gauci and other senior Club representatives were honored to be able to provide feedback to our sponsors on how much we value their support.
