Week 19 - February 21 & 22

Note: Players are requested to wear black armbands to honor Alex Ross, who played a short time for Moonee Valley and was killed in a car accident last month.

The Sevenths are playing their fixture this Saturday at Coburg as a tribute to Alex. The team is being captained by his close mate Paddy Shelton, and is comprised of Alex's mates - a number of whom have not previously played with our Club. We are honoured to have them on board to mark Alex and his contribution. We would welcome any players who can come by to watch the game, and we plan to return to Ormond Park afterwards for a further celebration in the clubrooms.

Round 12. Playing conditions still to be determined. Selection for a one-day Saturday game. February 21. Match starts 12.30pm. Players need to be at the ground midday.
This will either be played as a one-day game of 40 overs per side; or a two-day game with a 75-over innings extending into February 28. In the event of a two-day game, Moonee Valley is entitled to reselect its side for Week 2 with no penalty, due to a number of non-availabilities.
