Outdoor pre-season training – the dates

Moonee Valley Cricket Club has moved to outdoor pre-season training, following our indoor sessions.

Our next session is at Fairbairn Park, Woods St, Ascot Vale from 9.45am sharp this Sunday, August 21.

We will be setting up in one of the sets of nets at Fairbairn, and will also be looking at fielding drills, soccer games and fitness drills.

Remember – no white top, no batting or bowling. It’s simple.

After this weekend, we will be at home at Ormond Park, Pattison St, Moonee Ponds for Saturday training – from 9.45am on August 27 and September 3 in the southern (Ormond Rd end) nets.

Players need to be aware that it may still be season-on for the Essendon Royals soccer club and Moonee Valley Football Club, and they may be setting up for training. We will need to work around this.

Our Saturday sessions will lead in to an intra club game at Fairbairn Park on Saturday, September 10, and a turf practice match at Barooga, on the Murray in NSW, on Saturday, September 24.

We expect to be back at Ormond Park for our Tuesday and Thursday training from early September.
