Steve Rawlinson Trophy

Steve Rawlinson – Coached a squad through to Under 16s for seven seasons, and they became our first junior team in A Grade, in Under 14s. Steve has played a key development role with the juniors now coming through to senior ranks. In his own career he played more than 20 seasons with East Coburg, and was joint winner of the MMVCA B Grade champion player award in 1997/98.

Gary Schickerling Trophy

Gary Schickerling – 

 

 

 

 

  a past president, secretary and committee member at Premier Cricket Club Carlton, Gary takes a keen interest in what's happening at Ormond Park as he passes each day from his Ascot Vale home. Came to Carlton as a top-level player in 1953, and is seen often at our Moonee Valley functions supporting our Club.

Bob Sciacchitano Trophy
Bob Sciacchitano – A Premiership player and Life Member, Bob has notched up 200-plus games, 3500+ runs and 114 wickets. A 3 Eleven bowling award winner, he has been in three record partnerships in the 3rds and 4ths. Best bowling – 8/88. 2009/10 Aman Parmar Under 10 Black Best Fielder Award

Geoff Smith Trophy

Geoff Smith - Big Geoff carried the 1st Eleven fast bowling battery for a number of seasons with his lion-hearted efforts, and is a more-than-handy lower order batsman. Brought up his 50th game in 2006/07, and is around the 500 run/100 wicket mark. A great clubman, Geoff is always ready to help with junior development.

Ray Storey Trophy

Ray Storey – Ray co-founded our mighty Moonee Valley Cricket Club in 1971. He is a life member with 5 Premierships to his name. Ray played 185 games (12 highest overall), scored 4501 runs and took 130 wickets at 13.9. He won the 1 Eleven batting and bowling awards three times each.

Sean Sturrock Trophy

Sean Sturrock – Our first Moonee Valley junior player to go all the way through to the top grade of Premier Cricket. Spinner Sean played most of his junior cricket at the Valley before joining the lower grades at Melbourne. His breakthrough year was 2007/08, playing in the Melbourne First Eleven and making the Victorian Under 19 team.

Ian Sutherland Trophy

Ian Sutherland – A life member, Ian was the holder of the most-games record at our Club with 237 until he was overhauled in 2003/04. He scored 4904 runs at 21, with two centuries. Ian played in three flags and twice won the 2^nd Eleven batting award.

John Talone – Our past Moonee Valley Cricket Club secretary (for 14 seasons), John is a life member with 200 games for the Club, A tenacious batsman, John has scored more than 3100 runs and tasted Premiership success.

Danny Terzini Trophy

Danny Terzini – Danny is one of only 22 players in the history of the Moonee Valley Cricket Club to have played 150 games, and he’s steadily adding to the total. He’s also one of only 17 players to have made 3000 runs, and has hit two centuries. Danny was a key figure in getting the juniors going and sustaining the teams in their early years. He was the 1996/97 Lindsay Jones best clubman.

Matt Thomas Trophy

Matt Thomas – A past Moonee Valley Cricket Club Under 10 coach. Matt was the first player to reach 1300 junior runs, scoring them at an average of 34.23. He also took 68 junior wickets @ 10.76 and won the Ian Denny and Chris Ayers trophies in Under 16s. Matt is the first player to come through our junior program to play in the Moonee Valley 1st Eleven. He’s played more than 50 senior games – most of them as a top order batsman in the Firsts.

Charlie Walker Trophy

Charlie Walker – The Club’s current junior co-ordinator. Has been involved in junior team management and the Club since the inception of the juniors in 1996, and coached our first Under 16 Premiership in 2006/07. He’s also involved in helping run the Club’s senior one-day teams. He’s the only four-time winner of the Lindsay Jones Best Clubman award.

Murray Walker Trophy

Murray Walker – Murray played 64 games in the juniors, where he made 381 runs and took 57 wickets @ 13.8. Now an established senior player, with more than 100 senior/junior games, Murray was our first to come through juniors and regularly play turf. He was also the first to play in a turf final – in the 2nd Eleven in VTCA in 2002/03. In 2005/06 he became the first player from the juniors to reach 50 senior wickets, and has now reached 60 games.
