Our Winter Comp guys - we're proud of you

An unfortunate end to a great winter season. It was great to work our way to the top of the ladder and make it to the Grand Final, but in the end we fell a bit short against the strong batting side of Avondale Heights.

Avondale Heights 214 def Moonee Valley 151 in the Grand Final at Fairbairn Park No. 4 on Saturday, August 16.

Thanks to all of you that came out and supported us. It was great to see so many people at the game. Thank you also to everyone who played during the season and helped get us this far, but didn't play on Saturday.

Though we didn't come out on top, there were a few highlights.

Adam Patchell 3 wickets

Amandeep Singh 2 wickets and 50 runs

Bede Gannon 2 wickets and 20 runs

Jack Newman 2 wickets

Kern Kapoor 31 runs

Daniel Comande 26 runs

Peter Golding another great performance behind the stumps with a catch and a stumping.

It was a great season and one to be proud of.
