If there were any fears that the jump from a Division 3 Premiership into the top division was a bridge too far, the Moonee Valley women's team have dispelled them with ease.
With two rounds to go before the finals the team, captained by Sarah Fenn and coached by Darren Nagle, are undefeated at the top of the ladder.
Our latest win, on February 15, was a clinical dissection of Gellibrand, 1/101 to 6/94, and we still had seven overs in the tank.
The team has won four flags in the past five seasons. The great thing about the team is the spread of talent, with different players invariably stepping up to get the job done each game with both bat, ball and in the field.
