Three Flags for the Valleys!
Our Moonee Valley juniors won three Premierships over the March 15/16 weekend, to confirm our status as one of the dominant clubs in the North West Cricket Association.

Steve Malone's Under 14 Gold in F Grade won their Grand Final in a tight tussle, overhauling the St Andrews total of 150 with three wickets in hand.

Jim Morton's Under 12 White in D Grade had a bit of controversy over the scorebooks, with us leading 6/113 to 111 over Craigieburn, but after an audit of the books a tie was declared and the decision was to award joint premierships.

And David Carew's Under 12 Gold in G Grade had a tight tussle before prevailing over West Coburg.

Glenn Perussich's Under 12 Black in B Grade was overhauled with just two balls to go - so the end result of our weekend was three Premierships and a narrow loss by two balls.

Our three Premierships were the most of any junior club in the NWCA, ahead of Greenvale, Pascoe Vale Sports and Keilor with two.

And we had the most teams of any club in semi-finals - with seven; and the most teams of any club with four in the Grand Finals.

Seven of our 10 eligible junior teams made the finals, and when you consider both our NWCA senior teams also played finals, it's legitimate to call Moonee Valley a powerhouse of the NWCA.
