Our senior teams - Round 1: October 8/9

2016/17 Week 1 - October 8 & 9*****

Note: All of VTCA was called off for this weekend due to the weather, as were the majority of the Mercantile games.
However, Moonee Valley's master curator, Ian "Spider" Beel, worked away and got up one of the few playable turf pitches in Melbourne at our very own Ormond Park.
Our Thirds were due to play there on Sunday. In an innovative move, the Mercantile Cricket Association has switched our Fourths game from its unplayable pitch in Box Hill, across to Ormond Park as a curtain-raiser.
Our Fourths match starts at 9am, with 32 overs per side. Play will finish once a first innings result is achieved. The Thirds game is shortened from 45 overs per side to 35 overs, to start at 1.30pm.

Victorian Turf Cricket Association North A1.
Round 1. One day Saturday game October 8 v Sunshine YCW.
Away. Round washed out. This match will be played on the Reserve Day, Sunday, November 13.

Second Eleven:
Victorian Turf Cricket Association North A2.
Round 1. One day Saturday game October 8 v Sunshine YCW.

3rd Eleven:
Mercantile Cricket Association C North Turf one-day grade.
Round 1. One day Sunday game October 9 v Old Camberwell Grammarians. Match starts at 1.30pm. Players need to be at the ground 12.30pm.

Round 1. One day Sunday game October 9 v Canterbury. Match starts at 9am. Players need to be at the ground 8am.
