Our draft constitution
by Charlie Walker
A Special General Meeting will be held at the conclusion of our Annual General Meeting, at the North Suburban Sports Club on Monday, August 26.
On 26 November 2012, the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 (and its associated Regulations) replaced the Associations Incorporation Act 1981.
The purpose of the SGM is to adopt a new constitution - a requirement of the new Act.
The draft new constitution is attached here for the perusal of members. The major change of the new constitution model is to incorporate the statement of purposes - previously a separate document - into the constitution.
The Moonee Valley Cricket Club committee as much as possible migrated the provisions of the old constitution across to the new model.
To view and compare the old constitution our members can follow this link to our website: http://www.mooneevalleycricket.com.au/files/ConstitutionMVCC.pdf
The committee is recommending to our members that they vote to adopt the new constitution.
Charlie Walker,
President,
Moonee Valley Cricket Club
