Our condolences to the McLaggan family

by

The Moonee Valley Cricket Club offers its sincere condolences to wife Leonie and the family of past player Doug McLaggan, who passed away on Saturday, March 23.
Doug McLagganDoug was a revered member of the Moonee Valley Cricket Club family, even though he only had a relatively short career - 74 games starting in 1989/90, for 691 runs @ 11.91 and 124 wickets @ 18.4.
He was a workhorse as a bowler, and despite his short career his 754 overs has him on our list as the 40th most prolific bowler.
Doug's 124 wickets has him at No. 52 on our all-time list.

One of our junior bowling awards is named the Doug McLaggan award - and Doug was chuffed to present his own award to youngster Dillon Barrett in 2013 - pictured here.
A Memorial Service for Doug will be held Friday 5 April at 10am at St Mary’s Anglican Church, 7-19 O’Shanassy St, Sunbury.

Refreshments will be provided after Doug’s service in the Anglican hall next to the church.
