Our condolences to the Bonfa family

The Moonee Valley Cricket Club offers its condolences to the members of the Bonfa family on the passing of Francesco Bonfa, 87.

Francesco was the father of past player Joe Bonfa and father-in-law of past player Peter Bonfa.

He was grandfather to Steven and Frank Bonfa and Peter Legato, who have come all the way through juniors at Moonee Valley, and to Paul Nicol.

Joe has played 140 games with Moonee Valley and Peter Bonfa 28.

Paul is a dual premiership player with 150 games, Steven has 61 games and Peter Legato and Frank are approaching 50 senior games.

Francesco, of Moonee Ponds, died suddenly last Sunday.

His funeral is being held at St Monica's Church in Mt Alexander Rd, Moonee Ponds at 1.30pm this Friday, January 11.
