Nailbiter for the Thirds
by
Our Thirds had to work hard for their Round 7 win at Ormond Park on November 16 - we passed the score of the Victorian Vikings nine wickets down.
The win lifts us to fourth spot on the Mercantile A Reserve Sunday ladder.
It was the second nail-biter in a row for Moonee Valley - Power House passed us nine wickets down in Round 5, and Round 6 was washed out.
Victorian Vikings set us a target of 138, and we looked to be cruising at 3/86 before losing three wickets.
We consolidated and looked to be home at 6/128 before dropping another three wickets to leave us at 9/130.
Andreas Skiotis came in as the last batsman and held up his end while Vamshi Paki scored the winning runs.
