Most Valuable Player vote count and presentation: Saturday, March 10
by
Greetings Moonee Valley players and supporters:
The Most Valuable Player vote count and presentation will be held this Saturday, March 10 at our Ormond Rd clubrooms, starting at 7.30pm.
The $10 entry fee will provide plenty of finger food passed around, and the bar will be well stocked.
This weekend is a long weekend, and we will be in the middle of finals, so hopefully we will have a lot of positives to celebrate along with the MVP awards.
As well as the MVP medals being decided for all grades, we will be presenting a number of the season's milestone awards - the awards for the players who have reached games milestones such as 50, 100 games, etc, runs - 1000 runs, 2000 runs, and wickets - 50/100/150 etc.
There will also be the trophies handed out for individual achievements such as centuries and five-wicket hauls.
The following Thursday selection night, March 15, we will do the Fieldlow vote count for the best fielders in each grade. We will fire up the barbecue for a feed of snags.
And don't forget the big one of the year - Presentation Night, which is again being held at the venue of our sponsor, the North Suburban Sports Club. Presentation night is on Saturday, April 21.
We hope to see our players, members and supporters at all three functions as we celebrate what is shaping up as an excellent season.
Charlie Walker.
