Juniors - Christmas break-up

We're holding an informal Christmas break-up at Ormond Park on Saturday as we head into the festive break.

After tomorrow's game our junior grades don't resume until January 27, so it's a long break away from teammates.

Players and parents can gather at the clubrooms from 5.30pm on Saturday, and we'll work out what we need to do as we socialise - maybe pizzas?

The juniors are sure to entertain themselves with bat and ball in the nets.

The Firsts and the Fifths are playing at home on Saturday and there will probably be an hour or more of cricket still to watch - and there's no reason why parents and players can't come down earlier in the afternoon to watch.

Six players in the Firsts - more than half of the team - came through our junior program, and three of them are past junior coaches.

Four players in the Fifths are currently in either Under 16s or Under 14s - so we certainly value the development of our juniors.
