Get behind our winter teams: Round 2

We head into Round 2 of the winter comp, with both our teams putting up a good showing in Round 1.

Michael Ozbun's Moonee Valley Black won their encounter with RMIT. Anthony Cafari was the standout with the bat, making 51no, while Chris Pollock and Matt Esmore each took three wickets.

Shane McDonald's Moonee Valley White came up short against Northern Lions, and we were unable to successfully defend our 126 even though we had our moments.

This Saturday the Blacks are at home at Fairbairn Park No. 5 oval at Ascot Vale, playing against Strathmore Heights B52s, who were beaten last week. Our Black team is: Chris Pollock, Anthony Cafari, Kunal Balhara, Nitin Madan, Akshat Sehgal, Matt Thomas, Jatinder Singh, Matthew Esmore, Junaid Jamshaid Niazi, Jesse Felle, Michael Ozbun.

The Whites are playing Melton Centrals at a ground which has not yet been determined. Melton lost last week with a score of just 117, so it's a good chance for Moonee Valley to pick up the points.
