Cricket's a family affair

Family affair for Keith and the boys
Moonee Valley junior/senior players David and Mark Lubansky have had the honor of playing a game of cricket with their granddad Keith James.
The three pulled on the Valley whites together in the Sevenths on January 16, and there are more opportunities in the pipeline to add to the tally – Keith and David are selected for the Sevenths again this Sunday.

Mark plays in our Under 14s. David is in the Under 12s but has taken the opportunity to step up to regular senior cricket this season, making his debut on November 27 with 2/26 and 9 with the bat.
David has hit 63 runs and taken nine wickets in the seniors.
While the Lubansky boys live close-by in Moonee Ponds, Keith has to make a bigger commitment to play - he travels in from Kangaroo Ground.
And cricket is a family affair. Mark and David’s dad Alex never misses an opportunity to see the boys playing cricket, and mum Rebecca is always on the roster for some scoring.
We like to think we’re a family club at Moonee Valley – and Keith James and the Lubanskys are a wonderful example.
