Call for First Eleven captain

Moonee Valley Cricket Club is calling for applications for the position of First Eleven captain for the 2018/19 season, and initial expressions of interest for captains for our other grades.

As we have already confirmed Mark Grenville as our coach for the coming season, we want to have the position of First Eleven captain finalised as soon as possible so that we can plan the pre-season and our onfield requirements at the top level.

Our bylaws require that our leadership positions be advertised each season.

We are seeking initial expressions of interest for captains in the other grades, and if needed will put out a formal call in the coming months.

Our Seconds are in the VTCA two-day grades. Our Thirds and Fourths will play turf in the Mercantile Cricket Association, and our Fifths and Sixths are in the hard-wicket North West Metropolitan Cricket Association – at this stage a one-day team and a two-dayer, but subject to change.

We will again be planning for a seventh team in 2018/19 – a Sunday one-day team in the NWMCA.
