Calling for winter comp players

Our Club is again entering a team in the Mid Year Cricket Association, which plays one-day Saturday games through the start of May to August. The Club has appointed Michael Ozbun as our captain, and he's keen to get things rolling.

We need to know who is interested in playing most or some of the games, to be confident of having a squad available for all matches.

The comp plays nine rounds over about four months. We have secured access to oval No. 8 at Fairbairn Park, Ascot Vale as our home ground.

To help us with our feasibility study, please contact either Ozzie or myself to advise of your interest.

We also want to know, if you're interested, whether your intention would be to be available for:

* 80-100% of the games

*50-80% of games

*Occasional games on a needs basis.

It's a one-day competition on Mats - 35 over a side on a Saturday starting at midday. It's a good standard of cricket. Moonee Valley started like a house on fire last year in our inaugural season, then tapered off.

If you are keen on playing or you have have a mate who is willing to play for us they will be more than welcome.
