Bush bash to mark the
end of a long season
A group of Moonee Valley cricketers ventured to the wilds of Lancefield on the March 23/24 weekend to mark the end of the 2012/13 cricket campaign.
We may have only got three senior teams into the finals, but it was still a season worthy of celebration.
The bush property in the Cobaw Ranges outside of Lancefield is the winter haunt of Charlie and Murray Walker, who cut and haul firewood from it and sell to customers in Melbourne.
The weekend was a chance to relax and let the hair down, without the formalities of an official end-of-season cricket trip.
