Joe Ansaldo Trophy
Joe Ansaldo – A former 4th Eleven captain and ex-committee member, Joe played a prominent role in helping juniors through their first experience of senior cricket and setting them challenges. He’s in the Top 12 in the number of games played with Moonee Valley, with 200+ matches, 1100+ runs and 94 wickets.

Chris Ayers Trophy
Chris Ayers - Chris may have only played two games of cricket for Moonee Valley, but he is the person who made all our recent growth happen by being the impetus and driving force behind starting the junior section of the Moonee Valley Cricket Club in 1996. Without his foresight and contribution, we would not have a junior section.

Steven Ball Trophy
Steven Ball – a key link in the club’s junior development program, Steven has coached juniors for four seasons and been a one-day captain since our return to one-day cricket in 2003. A return of more than 40 games, 700 runs and 60 wickets underlines a developing late-start career that has won Steven one-day batting, bowling and fielding awards.

Ian 'Spider' Beel Trophy
Ian ‘Spider’ Beel – Ian has never played cricket for Moonee Valley, but is a key contributor to the Club as curator and administrator. He is the reason for Moonee Valley Cricket Club’s enviable reputation for excellent turf wickets.

Rex Bennett Trophy
Rex Bennett – Rex is a past Club coach. A former District cricketer for Footscray, he is now coaching Premier team North Melbourne. Rex led Moonee Valley to a Grand Final in our first year in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association. Joe Bonfa – Joe captained the Moonee Valley Cricket Club 2nd Eleven in our first year in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association, and again in 2005/06. He has played 130+ games, made more than 850 runs and taken 230+ wickets at an average of under 16 – which puts him in our Top 10 wicket-takers of all time. Joe’s a four-time winner of the 2nd Eleven bowling award.

Sandro Capocchi Trophy
Sandro Capocchi – A life member, 227 games – almost all of them in the 1st Eleven, and now chairman of selectors. A long-time committee member, Sandro has played in five flags and hit seven centuries – two of them in successive games. He has 5000+ runs – fourth on the all-time list – and 75+ wickets.

Domenic Chiera Trophy
Domenic Chiera – One of our extended group of parents who took up playing again after becoming involved with the juniors. A past one-day captain, Dom won both batting and bowling awards in 2006/07. A key coach in the top grade junior age groups, Dom has played a major role in the skills development of juniors playing senior cricket.

Mark Cini Trophy
Mark Cini – A past coach of Under 12s, ‘Junior’ has played 90+ games, made 1650 runs and taken 120 wickets. Some of the boys he coached are now coming through to senior ranks. A winner of the 2nd Eleven bowling award in 2001/02, Mark is a hard hitting lower-order batsman who features in three record 2nd Eleven partnerships.

James Clarke Trophy
James Clarke – Another of our Under 10 coaches. James came through the junior grades after starting in our inaugural year, with 59 games, 228 runs and 29 wickets. James’ commitment to the Club is one of the reasons why Moonee Valley won the prestigious Cricket Victoria Club of the Week award in 2004/05. He won the 2004/05 Fourths Fielding Award.

Paul Comino Trophy
Paul Comino – Paul has made a big impact in two separate stints at Moonee Valley, being involved in our original Fifths in the early 90s and then again with the resumption of our one-day grades in 2003. A courageous batsman and winner of our Sevenths bowling in 2005/06, Paul is now playing an important role as Ninths captain in getting senior experience for up-and-coming juniors.

Glen Courts Trophy
Glen Courts – Glen played in the Firsts and Seconds for Essendon in the Premier League as an opening bat and wicketkeeper, and then returned to us. In just 25 games for Moonee Valley before being recruited to Essendon he amassed 1264 runs at 57.5. He scored 5 centuries for Moonee Valley, and was Club champion in 1999/00.

Michael Cumbo – One of Moonee Valley’s most-admired players, Mickster has played 66 games, made more than 600 runs and took Moonee Valley’s last senior hat-trick, in 2003/04.

Ian Denny Trophy
Ian Denny – Moonee Valley Cricket Club’s greatest-ever player, Ian holds the records for most runs, most wickets and most games - now more than 250. A life member and seven-time Premiership player, he has won every Club award possible and won key best-in-comp titles.

Shane Frenette Trophy
Shane Frenette – The first person who played in our inaugural junior year of 1996 to go all the way through to the seniors. Shane, who started in Under 12s, is has played 38 senior games and made almost 500 runs.

Kevin Gardiner Trophy
Kevin Gardiner - Returned to Moonee Valley in 2004/05 after a long absence and quickly took up a junior development role, coaching Under 12s and captaining our emerging teen players in the Fifth Eleven. Has played 98 games, made more than 700 runs and taken more than 90 wickets. Has won 2nd and 3rd eleven bowling awards.

Peter Gardiner Trophy
Peter Gardiner – A life member and past junior co-ordinator, PG has played 234 games for Moonee Valley, scored 2514 runs and took 323 wickets @ 18.6. He is fifth on the most-games honor board, 21st with runs and has the fifth-highest tally of wickets at the Club. A four-time Premiership player, Peter won the 2nd Eleven bowling award three seasons in succession in the early 80s, and twice won the 4th Eleven bowling award in the early 90s.

Mark Gauci – A power hitter, Mark started off in one-day cricket with Moonee Valley but was quickly promoted to the senior sides. He's now First Eleven captain. He has played almost 100 games, made 2600 runs, including seven centuries, and taken 70+ wickets. Mark was 1999/00 Club champion and in 2001/02 and 2002/03 won the 2nd Eleven batting award.

Shane Golds Trophy
Shane Golds – A champion and legend of our Club. A former junior co-ordinator, junior coach and 4th Eleven captain, Shane is one of only four players to hit centuries in consecutive games. Most juniors coming through the Club up to 2003 benefited from Shane’s involvement. Played 105 games, scored 2172 runs @ 25.6 and took 59 wickets @ 19.6, and finished off his career as a fine wicketkeeper.

Mick Harvey Trophy
Mick Harvey – Mick is fourth on our all-time games played with 246 under his belt. A life member and former Moonee Valley captain/coach, he has scored more than 7000 runs (second-highest in Club history) at an average around 30. He has played in a record eight Premierships, scored 16 centuries (second highest in Club) and in 1994/95 hit 658 runs (our 3rd-highest season tally ever).

Lindsay Jones Trophy
Lindsay Jones – Lindsay was not Moonee Valley Cricket Club’s greatest player, but he was our greatest clubman before dying tragically. The Club’s ‘Best Clubman’ award is named in his honor, and Lindsay is also honoured with this junior trophy. His stats of 22 games, 78 runs and 2 wickets do not do justice to the impact he had on our Club.

Dean Jukic – Captain of the Moonee Valley 2nd Eleven in 2001/02, Dean has played almost 90 games, scored 1600 runs and taken 55 wickets. He was the 2000/01 2nd Eleven batting award winner, and as winner of both the Second Eleven batting and bowling awards in 2005/06 was named one of our five Wisden Cricketers of the Year.

Phill King Trophy
Phill King – Phill resumed his own cricketing career in 2003/04 when he signed up for the Fifths, in our return to one-day cricket. He has been involved with our junior sides since their inception, and has coached both boys and girls teams. The King/Wignall Trophy played between two of our junior sides each season was named in his honor to mark the first occasion when we had two sides in the one age group – in Under 12s.

Jeff Lewis Trophy
Jeff Lewis – A past Under 10 coach, who has graduated from junior ranks. Jeff was the first player who started in Under 10s in our inaugural junior year to work his way through all the grades into senior cricket. His junior achievements include Under 16s Player of the Finals in 2002/03. Jeff played 71 junior games for 292 runs, and 79 wickets @ 9.73.

Laurie Mayne Trophy
Laurie Mayne – Laurie played 161 games and is eighth on the all-time most runs list with 4383 @ 34.2, and also took 50 wickets. A two-time Premiership player, Laurie is a life member and seven-time batting award winner in the 3rd and 4th Elevens in the 1980s and early 90s.

Jim McKenzie Trophy
Jim McKenzie – Jim came out of retirement in 2003/04 to play one-day cricket with Moonee Valley. A two-time Premiership player, Jim is one of only six players to have taken more than 300 wickets for Moonee Valley, and he is showing no signs of slowing down. Jim has won bowling awards in the 2nds, 3rds and 4ths, and has taken 11 wickets in a match. His best innings performance is 7/85.

Rod McLeod – Co-founder of our Club with Ray Storey. A life member with 140 games, 3471 runs @ 25.3 and 41 wickets. His run tally, accumulated since 1971, has stood the test of time as a great mark. A three-time Premiership player, Rod has won bowling awards in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Elevens.

Bill Nagel – Bill is a life member of our Club, having played 141 games, made 3885 runs and taken 282 wickets. He is a four-time Premiership player, and between 1978 and 1983 was consistently winner of the 1st Eleven batting and bowling awards.

Terry Nagle Trophy
Terry Nagle – Knee injuries cut Terry down in his prime, but he still played 142 games. He is the Club’s sixth-highest wicket-taker with 319 scalps, and played in four Premierships. From 1995/96 Terry won three consecutive 1st Eleven bowling awards. His best figures are 7/36.

Paul Nicol Trophy
Paul Nicol – 125 games, 1500+ runs and 160+ wickets underlines Paul’s contribution. He opened the bowling in the 1st Eleven Grand Final in our first season in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association. Has bowled more than 1200 overs for the Club, and was the 2004/05 2nd Eleven captain.

Wayne Nicol Trophy
Wayne Nicol – A stalwart of the Club in the 80s, Wayne won the 86/87 Fourths bowling award. Came back to Moonee Valley in 2006 as part of a family return, and was Fourths captain in 2007/08. One of just 19 players to have brought up the 1000 runs, 100 wickets and 100 games Triple Crown at Moonee Valley – all achieved since his return.
Warwick Nolan Trophy
Warwick Nolan – Warwick is Moonee Valley Cricket Club’s finest-ever batsman. He represented a Victorian country side against the touring West Indies and scored impressively against them. A Club life member with 225 games, his 6194 runs at 37.5 is the Club’s third highest total. Warwick played in seven Premierships and won four 1st Eleven batting awards. He has 13 centuries with a high of 154 not out, and made a century on debut for Moonee Valley in 1982/83.

Greg Peters Trophy
Greg Peters – 8-times captain, six Premierships, 217 games (10th highest number at Moonee Valley Cricket Club) and 4600+ runs at 29 spells out Greg’s contribution to our Club. He is a life member, and won the 1st Eleven fielding award in 1998/99. He was part of the record Firsts third-wicket partnership of 204.

Daniel Phillips - Captaining the 2nd Eleven again in 2006/07, Dan has played 80+ games, made 1500+ runs and taken almost 50 wickets with his more-than-handy medium pacers. Won the 2000/01 Moonee Valley Award based on rns and wickets, and won both the batting and fielding awards for te 2nd Eleven in 2003/04.

Jim Polonidis Trophy
Jim Polonidis – Jim is a stalwart of the Club. He has played 147 games, and is one of only seven players at Moonee Valley to have brought up the 2000 runs, 150 wickets double. Jim took a hat-trick in 1995/96, scored his maiden century in 2004/05 and was the Lindsay Jones Best Clubman in 2000/01.

Bill Poole Trophy
Bill Poole – Bill has played a key role in junior development over seven seasons. As a coach and team manager, he has guided many of our up-and-coming juniors through the Under 10s, Under 12s and Under 14s and on to success in the higher age groups. Bill has played an important administrative role over a number of seasons on the junior committee.

Steve Rawlinson Trophy
Steve Rawlinson – Coached a squad through to Under 16s for seven seasons, and they became our first junior team in A Grade, in Under 14s. Steve has played a key development role with the juniors now coming through to senior ranks. In his own career he played more than 20 seasons with East Coburg, and was joint winner of the MMVCA B Grade champion player award in 1997/98.

Bob Sciacchitano – A Premiership player, Bob has notched up 190 games, 3500+ runs and 114 wickets. A 3rd Eleven bowling award winner, he has been in three record partnerships in the 3rds and 4ths. Best bowling – 8/88.

Geoff Smith - Big Geoff carried the 1st Eleven fast bowling battery for a number of seasons with his lion-hearted efforts, and is a more-than-handy lower order batsman. Brought up his 50th game in 2006/07, and is around the 500 run/100 wicket mark. A great clubman, Geoff is always ready to help with junior development.

Ray Storey Trophy
Ray Storey – Ray co-founded our mighty Moonee Valley Cricket Club in 1971. He is a life member with 5 Premierships to his name. Ray played 185 games (12th highest overall), scored 4501 runs and took 130 wickets at 13.9. He won the 1st Eleven batting and bowling awards three times each.

Sean Sturrock Trophy
Sean Sturrock – Our first Moonee Valley junior player to go all the way through to the top grade of Premier Cricket. Spinner Sean played most of his junior cricket at the Valley before joining the lower grades at Melbourne. His breakthrough year was 2007/08, playing in the Melbourne First Eleven and making the Victorian Under 19 team.
2007/08 Mick Bannister Under 16 White Best Player Award
Ian Sutherland – A life member, Ian was the holder of the most-games record at our Club with 237 until he was overhauled in 2003/04. He scored 4904 runs at 21, with two centuries. Ian played in three flags and twice won the 2nd Eleven batting award.
