Pay your membership the easy way!
Moonee Valley Cricket Club Memberships for 2010 are now due. The full-season amounts are $290 for senior players, $190 for students and concession card holders and $170 for Juniors. The best way to pay is via online banking, it’s quick, easy and secure.
A/c Name: Moonee Valley Cricket Club BSB: 633108 A/c Number: 138449160 Please ensure you complete the full transfer information giving your name and description e.g. ‘Member2010’. Why not save the club on your payee list? So, if you need to pay for apparel, functions etc it’s easy.
Of course you can still pay cash or a cheque (to any committee member) or use the eftpos machine in the clubhouse. But use of our direct funds transfer makes it easier for us to track payments from individuals and make sure you're checked off.
Full season memberships paid in advance provide a significant discount for players. However, these MUST be paid before the first game for the players to be eligible for this discount.
For players who don't pay before the first game, or who elect to go on the pay-by-the-week scheme, the fees are:
Full senior players: $20 per playing day; plus a one-off $40 affiliation cost before the player plays their second game.
Students/concession players: $10 per playing day; plus a one-off $40 affiliation cost before the player plays their second game.
Our fees have increased by around $40 on last season.
The one-off affiliation cost was judged to be the best way to collect the increase from our weekly players without the administrative burden of collecting an odd amount of money each week - e.g. $22.60.
Our costs have increased significantly this season in two main areas - the amount levied on us for membership payments by the Moonee Valley Sporting Club has risen from approximately $7000 to $11,500; our affiliation with Moreland Moonee Valley Cricket Association has doubled due to ground levy charges; and ball costs increased last season.

Season 2010/11 - new players welcome at the Valley New players for all our senior and junior teams are still welcome for the current season.
We have again entered 10 senior men's teams - four teams on turf, two two-day matting teams and four one-day teams.
Two turf teams and several of our matting teams play Sunday home games, so we have a range of options to suit our players in terms of availability.
We also cater across the spectrum with our senior players, from top-grade cricketers in our highest teams through to occasional and social cricketers wanting to have a hit or roll the arm over in our one-day teams.
Seven of our 10 men's teams played finals last season - four through to Grand Finals - with flags in our Firsts and Seconds. MVCC Committee member/Junior Co-ordinator Kevin Gardiner said Moonee Valley also fields a team in the Victorian Women's Cricket Association one-day grades, and new players of all levels of experience, starting from beginners, are welcome.
We also field Under 10s, 12s, 14s and 16s. Under 10s: (Friday evening games);Under 12s: (we have grades that play home games on Friday evenings, Saturday mornings and Sunday mornings); Under 14s: (both Saturday morning and Sunday morning grades); and Under 16s: (also Saturday and Sunday grades).
Anyone interested should phone Kevin Gardiner on 0417 536 896 regarding juniors, or MVCC president Charlie Walker (0409 237 543) or Senior Coach Lou Raffaele (0433 383 387 or 0450 181 948) for all other teams.
