Applications called for our Afternoon Teas contract

Moonee Valley Cricket Club is seeking applications for the job of preparing the afternoon teas for the senior teams each weekend this season.

The job entails making up the teas for each of the home teams. Each afternoon tea comprises a large plate of sandwiches, a plate of cut fruit and a plate of cakes/biscuits.

We have entered 11 senior teams (10 men's and one women's team) this season, so on the basis of half playing at home and half away each week, it is envisaged that there would be five or six afternoon teas most weekends.

We play both Saturdays and Sundays, so it would be expected that most weekends there would be 2 or 3 afternoon teas on the Saturday and 2 or 3 on the Sunday.

The contract pays $40 per each day's afternoon teas. There is some scope for both the Saturday and Sunday afternoon teas to be made on the Saturday, and the price of $40 for each day's afternoon teas still applies.

All the materials for the teas are delivered to the clubrooms on Saturday mornings. Past experience suggests that one person can prepare each team's afternoon teas in about 50 minutes, so the total job each weekend would entail approximately four to five hours.
