The Moonee Valley Cricket Club's annual general meeting on July 27 was pleased to receive the report of a small financial surplus for the 2014/15 season.
About 20 members attended the AGM at the Moonee Ponds Club - one of our major sponsors - and received copies of the annual report.
The members also elected the committee for the 2015/16 season.
The office bearers are:
*Graeme "Charlie" Walker (right) - re-elected president for his eighth year.
*Simon Thornton - re-elected vice-president.
*Peter Golding - re-elected treasurer.
*Adam Patchell - re-elected secretary.
*Matt Thomas, Allan Cumming, Jesse Nankivell-Sandor - re-elected to the general committee.
*Michael Ozbun, Channa DeSilva - re-elected to the general committee after being appointed to fill vacancies during the previous season.
*Peter Pickering and Leigh Holder - elected jointly as junior co-ordinator, which is a position on the general committee.
*Former junior co-ordinator Kevin Gardiner - elected to the general committee.
New coach Mark Gauci outlined to the meeting his coaching philosophy and aims, and the plan and timetable he has prepared leading in to the season.
The meeting was also told Channa DeSilva has been given the role of Director of Junior Cricket, so he will play a vital role representing our junior section on the senior committee along with the joint junior co-ordinators.
*Abridged copies of the annual report are available from Charlie Walker. Only members of our Club are entitled to see the full annual report, including the financial statements.
