A FAMILY AFFAIR AT THE VALLEY
FOR DADS &
SONS
Moonee Valley has had three sets of father/son trios take to the field so far this season - which confirms that the next generation is well on the way to coming through the ranks. Chairman of Selectors Jason Walsh has played a Thirds game with sons Jordy and Riley - and Jordy has already played First Eleven at Moonee Valley. At left: Proud dad Paul Sevenson with his sons - Jeremy (left) and debutant Luke. Junior co-ordinator Paul Sevenson in the Fourths game on October 13 had the honor of playing with his sons Jeremy and Luke. And Life Member Geoff McKeown has also taken to the field this season with his sons Oscar and Oliver in our Fifths. It continues a long tradition at Moonee Valley of parents and their children playing for our club - although not necessarily all in the same team at the same time. Sometimes the parents came first - in other instances, the youngsters began their career at our club and the parents were dragged in. They include: *Alan Thomas with Ben and Matt. *Charlie (and Adele) Walker with Murray & Nigel. *Kevin Gardiner with Terry, John & Leo. *Jenny O'Brien with John, Sam and Reilly. *Pat Taylor with Jess and Nick. *Phill King with Tom and Lily. *Mick Intagliata with Tanya and Luke. At right: Proud dad Geoff McKeown with sons Oscar (left) and Oliver. *Paul and Bernadette Hobbs with Seamus and Connor. *Rod Gorham with Daniel and Alex. *George Gauci with Mark and Matt. *John and Roslyn Brelis with Nick and Ben. *Peter Fenaughty with Seamus, Cian and Eamonn. *Paul Brock with Luke and Corey. *Shane Esmore with Matt and Stephen. *Peter Bonfa with Steven and Frank. *Ross Aitken with Tom and Charles.
