4000 up for Matt

Matt Thomas has moved into rarified company, bringing up his 4000th senior run for Moonee Valley just before Christmas.

Matt, who played all his junior cricket at Moonee Valley before establishing himself in senior ranks, is one of just 16 players to reach the 4000 run mark.

He's also played 172 senior games - 30th on the all-time list - and taken 113 wickets, which brings him in at 48th on our list.

Along the way Matt has played in a First Eleven premiership, captained the Firsts for two seasons and been an important contributor as a committee member over five years.
