22/23 Season start delayed

The start of Moonee Valley's 2022/23 cricket season has been delayed by at least a week due to the ongoing rain.

The VTCA (Moonee Valley's Firsts and Seconds) has previously advised that the proposed October 1 start has been pushed back at least a week due to pitch preparation issues.

Last night Mercantile (MVCC Thirds and Fourths) decided to push the October 1 start back a week due to the weather and sodden grounds.

Our other teams which play in the North West Metro Cricket Association - Fifths, Sixths, Women's and juniors - were fixtured to start their seasons on the October 7-9 weekend.

We will continue to attempt to run our regular training sessions over the next week - which have regularly been washed out.
