2000 runs up for James Smith

by

The stellar batting season for James Smith is continuing, with his 69no on January 18 v Greenvale taking him past 2000 runs for the club.
Playing mainly in our Fifths, James has now amassed 563 runs for the season, including an unbeaten century and five half-centuries - three of them not-outs.
James has a season batting average to date of 93.83.
He's now played 58 games for Moonee Valley, and his batting average across his 2012-run career is now 47.9.
There's still plenty of games to go this year - but James is already equal-26th on our all-time list of most runs in an individual season, and based on his current form he's likely to rocket up the ladder.
