Ansaldo, Joe

Joe Ansaldo
A former 4th Eleven captain and ex-committee member, Joe played a prominent role in helping juniors through their first experience of senior cricket and setting them challenges.
He’s in the Top 12 in the number of games played with Moonee Valley, with 207 matches, 1125 runs and 95 wickets. This left him agonisingly close to the select group of Moonee Valley players with the Triple Crown - 100 games, 1000 runs and 100 wickets.

Joe was honored with life membership of the Club at the end of 2005/06.
A past member of the MVCC Committee, Joe rejoined our administrative ranks in 2006/07 as Sponsorship Manager. Really turned around the Club's finances, before deciding not to continue in that role in 2007/08.
Joe also decided to retire as a player during the 2006/07 season - but don't be surprised to see him pull on the whites again if required.
The 2009/10 season also saw Joe reach the 250-game mark at Moonee Valley - only the fourth player to do so.
