Sean O'Kane
June 2009 (Stats to end of 08/09)

Came to Moonee Valley to have fun in the one-day grades - which he did for his first season. After that Sean got promoted to the Firsts - where he used the same heavy bat to devastating effect.
Sean has been in our five Wisden Cricketers of the Year in both 2007/08 and 2008/09 - in his first year as an opening bat, and in his second season as a pinch-hitter.
Who can forget his century against Flemington in 08/09, when he was regularly hitting the houses on the far side of Pattison St with massive sixes? One f the Flemington bowlers sledged him as a slapper - but Sean was already past 50!
Sean's absolutely brilliant in the outfield, making up miles of ground to take astonishing catches or to step certain boundaries.
