Sam's prior experience with Essendon-Maribyrnong Park meant she was a natural for captain when she joined us.
Her experience was evident as she led our "Chicks" in the White team to victory on a number of occasions.
Always led from the front with the bat, Sam was also a more-than-handy bowler.
Amassed 372 runs in her debut season, which was the 10th-highest total of any of our 12 senior teams in 08/09.
