Greg Peters
2005/06 (Stats to end of 08/09)

Eight-times captain, six Premierships, 217 games (10th highest number at Moonee Valley Cricket Club) and 4600+ runs at 29 spells out Greg's contribution to our Club.

He was in charge during our glory years of the late 80s and early 90s, when Moonee Valley won Premierships at will and was a feared opponent.

He is a life member, and won the 1st Eleven fielding award in 1998/99.

Greg was part of our record Firsts third-wicket partnership of 204.

Greg came out of retirement for one game in 2005/06, to captain the Sevenths in the match in which his close friend Ian Denny played his Club-record 250th game. Fittingly, Cockroach hit a six to bring up victory and his unbeaten 50.
