Nick Kritharidis(Stats to end of 08/09)
Hard-hitting product of our junior development program. Big century in his final junior season, against Doutta Stars.
Nick settled in in 2005/06 as a key member of our Fifth Eleven - the Under 18 development squad. He scored 248 runs at 19.1 in his first full season in senior ranks. Nick's 15 wickets at 21 were also very handy to the team.
A step up to the Thirds showed he was quite comfortable in the higher standard of cricket.
Nick's citation as a Wisden Cricketer of the Year 2005/06 read:

"In his first full season in senior cricket, Nick underlined his developing talent with bat and ball as a key member of the Under 18 squad in our Fifth Eleven. A game in the Thirds showed he was not out of his depth in the higher grades. Turning 17 just before Christmas, Nick has a bright future ahead of him as he further develops his craft, which netted him 248 runs with the bat and 15 wickets @ 21 with the ball. Our Under 18s are still learning the skill of batting for long periods and Nick looks to be mastering this, with his 58 in the final round being the only half-century in the Fifths for the season. Nick is one of only six Moonee Valley players to hit a century in junior cricket, bringing up the three figures in 2004/05."
